Wohoo My Two New GORGEOUS Bettas!!!!

Well I was christmas shopping... FOR OTHER PEOPLE!! and I popped into the LFS to have a look at mini tanks for my brother's one betta, and saw an adorable little young BLUE female betta fish!!! She was one of the 4 that were in the tank, but the only blue one. I fell in love!!!!

They had just gotten a shipment in of male bettas. I had my eyes on this orange and blue one, but about two down from the small...inhumane...itsy bitsy CUP, there was a blue/black male. ..... with only like 1/4 of his CUP full (sorry i hate the bettas being kept in a cup) I brought him home and after half an hour put him in a divider in my 10 gallon. My first betta Squishy is in the other half with two females (he's been there for a week and no hostility so dont yell at me )

My new fish I call Metallica (for obvious reasons) flared up when he saw squishy and it turns out that he is all metallic silver with a blue/pink blend to it. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS.

Also with Metallica's tail, it looks like a vieltail, but at the ends it splits. Not as though he tore it in shipping, but as if it is actually supposed to be like it. I'm just gonna wait and see what it turns out like, if it heals or not.

i know u said not to yell at u so im not going to get on your case or anything, but juts out of curiosity, exactly how much room does squishy and his girls have? just amke sure you keep an eye on him and make sure his girls dont try to gang up on him i have been doing research resently about keeping male and female bettas together and in most cases they do get along, but for some reason eventually at one time or another they get in to it for some reason good luck with metalica, i love the band so maybe ill ill love the fish too post some pics plz

They have a whole 10 gallon to themselves (squishy and the ladies) however I'm keeping a close watch on them, if there's any fin nipping ill separate them.

I'm attempting to take some pictures tonight with my crappy digital cam. I'll post if they turn out
