Will this work? Or will the tank break?

So I am planning on putting 4 of the tanks in the pictures on the top part of this rack. Problem is the rack is 23" and the tanks are 23.62. So the tank would be hanging over about half an inch on both sides which would mean the tank wouldn't have contact with anything but the front and back bar they are overhanging. I was planning on putting cardboard underneath the entire length of all the tanks. I've used this method on all 3 of my 60g rimmed tanks on this rack but I'm worried about using a rimless tank. Would the cardboard provide enough contact points that the tanks will be fine?

I would place a piece of plyboard (preferably marine ply) on the wire and then put a piece of polystyrene foam under each tank. The plyboard will stop the wire putting uneven pressure on the base of the tank, and the polystyrene foam will make everything safe.

I think I might do that and make it flush and sit o. That. I was playing around with the idea of just filling the recessed part. But heard bad stories about tanks shattering

The entire frame needs to be supported. If you let a tank hang over the end it will crack the glass. I know I accidentally set a 5.5 gal tank 1/3 full with one end handing off the stand. I went to get something and returnied in a matter of minutes to a cracked tank.

Bear in mind there are an assortment of stands wout there which work fine and which only support the entire prerimerter of the bottom frame. I have a 150 and 1 25 as well as a 75 gal tank on such stands for many years.

Would this work? I bought this pad for the top to support it. The tank is 23.62x14x7. It will only hang the .62 inches

I ended up getting a large ergo mat to cover the top but not the edges which made it flush. Then another mat over that and the edges. Also used the leveling mats that came with the tanks. Nothing has broken so far 😄
