If I wash this stone off real good can I throw it in my tank and glue plants to it .I plan on using plain hot water and a unused tooth brush to scrub it . Do I need to boil it or anything? What yall think
Thanks but I don't want traces of toothpaste to get in my tank and kill my fish I'd rather be safe than sorry I could use a new unused make up brush. I have a bunch I bought off Amazon one time .
Give it a little bake in the oven until it's hot to the touch, let it cool down, and it's fine.
Can rinse it in water before hand too before baking it.
I wouldn't bother brushing it at all with a toothbrush, but I've also seen first hand what chemical contamination can do to a fish tank, so I'm more cautious over anything going into a fish tank that's not meant for fish
Yes but only until it's hot to the touch...hot rocks can explode and cause a decent injury so be careful. I would just give it a good scrubbing under the tap and call it done when you've popped it in your tank, how about entering our tank of the month competition?
