Will This Be Okay In My Tank?

hi, just saw these on ebay and thought they would go excellently with a roman ruin theme'd tank i'm thinking of making.

any ideas if they'd be tank safe or a place i can get similar objects,

these pillars are for wedding cakes.

plaster is porous so i would say no

what does it matter if its porus? just means it will ad/bsorb water right?

will it react with the water atall?

I believe plaster contains calcium which would raise your pH and make your water hard.

I would buy plastic.

If you want to be safe I know pets mart carries a line of roman settings for fish tanks

i've just bought 8x7' grecian columns and plan to have them dotted about my aquarium as ruins, they're hollow so i'll secure them with silicon or something, don't want fish swimming into them and not being able to turn round.

what about something made of cast resin and looks like marble - would that be okay in a fish tank? cast resin, i really don't know anything about materials.

i think stuff made from resin is ok but i would give it a soak first
