Hi, a work mate has offered me his lone clown loach as he is quiting the hobby and this is his last fish.
I just bought three polka dot loach at the weekend and was wondering if they can be kept together???

i think they will but what size tank do you have? and have you got any other clown loaches?

:good:

They are fine together (not that they will socialize much), but one should not keep a single clown loach, and you will need a larger tank (your profile says 31g). Something like 55g, if the clown is around 3"-4", and a much larger one for larger clowns.

I know the tank is too small (180l) but the clown loach is small, and no I don't have anymore clown loach I kinda figured it might hang out with the polka dot loaches. This whole thing is only temporary i thought the clwon loach would be better off in my community tank than being the only fish in its current tank -_-
Wish I had a bigger tank and I would get some more to go with it :/

Ive got clowns and Kubotia's together and they even share the same hiding places with no problems so far.

the clowns won't 'shoal' witht the polka dot's by the way, well at least it's unlikely and clowns do better in groups of about 5 i've found and they do need to be in a bigger tank what are you going to do with it?

:good:
