Having just started my tank.. I've got two platies for now...my cats found an interest in them....she sits in front of the tank staring at them and tries to paw the glass. ( no chance of of the cat getting in the top though ).....I actually think the fish almost seem to wind her up whens shes near, they swim just at the front of the tank ...... do you think can they see out ..and will the cat stress them?

The platies should be able to see through the glass. they might think the cat is the "bringer of food." Livebearers don't get stressed by outsiders as much as other fish, so as long as that's all your cat does, then it should be too bad.

Unless kitty is 'fishing' sticking her paw in the water and trying to sccop them out of the water, I don't think they will mind much. You're lucky, I was hoping my kitties would watch the fish (kitty tv) but they could care less.

YAY, I'm a fish maniac now. :D :D

Speaking of that, this morning I found my cat on top of the 10-gallon tank drinking the water out of the filter. I was wondering why the water was "evaporating" so quickly in that tank

mine loves nothin more than sittin watchin the tanks :), my other cat couldnt care less tho
