So I'm currently having a breakout of bladder(?) snails that hatched from eggs on some new plants. The plants have been in quarantine tanks that aren't used for fish or anything. I have some new plants that are hopefully snail free coming in today that I'd like to put in the small quarantine tank, but I don't want snails to remain in there with the new plants.
Most of the snails (I counted at least 35) are in a larger quarantine tank, but there's 1 or 2 in the small one gallon that I want to de-snail for my new plants. If I remove these two snails and wash the tank with soap, will it get rid of any tiny snails or snail eggs remaining? (I wouldn't think there would be more snail eggs because the snails are only about 2 weeks old, and I think all the eggs have had plenty of time to hatch if they are going to, but just as a precaution.)
Again, don't worry, the tank I want to use soap in is not used for fish and will be rinsed very well. :)

I don't think so, snails are basically indestructible. I recommend manual removal.

If the tank doesn't have any fish in, add heaps of salt and let it run for a few days, then drain, rinse and set it back up.

Soap won't do anything to snails because they simply close their operculum (the door they have on their shell). Snail eggs are protected by the jelly coating.

Just wash it out after using salt or even without using salt. Check for jelly blobs (snail eggs) and you should be fine.
