Will Snails Survive Without Plants

I have recently added four golden apple snails in my tank. I do not have any plants in the tank. Will the snails survive just by eating the left over food by the fishes? I put floating type of food for fish and they drop a lot of it while eating.

They should be fine. You can also feed them some veggies like cucumber, cooked green beans, broccoli, Kale. I use cooked dandelion greens as well. Make sure you wash the veggies thouroughly before cooking. Take out any uneaten food after 24 hours so not to foul the water.
