Will pygmy cories be OK in a mix of sand and gravel?

i use gravel but its not the sharp kind its rounded

Yeah as long as the gravel that you use hasn't got any sharp edges
as it can damage their barbel. I have just used silico sand.

I have heard that over time gravel will end up being ontop over the sand as it sifts through, so if doing layers consider this.
