I have a yabby (cherax destructor) which lost a part of its claw, just after the joint of its pincer. It can move at the joint, but cannot hold anything with it. It was damaged from a fight with another yabby. Now they are separated.
I want to know will it regrow? or must it break at a joint for it to regrow?

This is not the actual image of my yabby (mine is too small to see the damage). The red line in the photo shows where the yabby's claw is lost.

I'm certin it will slowly grow back a little bit every time the Crayfish Moults its skin, it will probably take a few times before it is better but it should be ok.

as stated it will grow back, if your Cray is young, looking at the damage, it may well come back next moult. even if not, it will just look a little small till the next moult.

can you give us some more info on your Cray and the tank you keep it in?
