well i have a san diego gopher snake, WC by me (she was in a bad predicament, either take her in with me or off with her/his head) and she, despite being in a 5 gallon tank has been doing well, but her last shed failed to come off completedly, this ha never happended to me out of all my snakes (then again i had proper set-ups) is there a way to remove the skin? and btw when we move in about 2 weeks shell have a 30 gallon to live in the 5 gallon is a bit of an extended temporary home.

right now she only has a heat lamp, a water bowl, a cave, and about 1" sand bed in a 5 gallon but when we move :

30 gallon with 3" sand bed 2-3 more hiding spots, bigger water bowl, heat lamp and heat pad. sound good?

lol not to mention the every now and then handling (tbh the only snake to bite me but only the first 5 timesafter that she settled)

I would imagaine she'll be fine if short term

my boahasd a bad shed last time, maybe try and increase humidity or give her a luke warm bath a couple of times a day to soften the skin

how can i increase humidity? run a fish tank in there lol(hmmm)

you can soak some sphagnum moss and putit in a hide for it or spray with a sprayer in the viv. i think the luke warm bat his useful

thanks,do all snakes do better in humid enviroments cuz i literally caught this guy on my lawn and its pretty dry around here
