Hi,

Its my first time ive tryed keeping live plants in my 22g and so far so good! I have had the plants in my tank for about 4 weeks and they are both growing really well. I just wanted to know whether i should be using Co2 as im not at the moment but they seem to be ok?

I have only got 3 plants at the minute as i wanted to see how i got on before adding more. I have 1 Amazon Sword and i forgot the name of the other 2 but there is a pic below so im sure someone will know the name of it.

Thanks,

Shaun

Yes, indeed plants can live without CO2. They will still grow but not as quickly and they wont have as vibrant colours. If you arent going to go down the CO2 route then I advise you to put lots of plants in your tank to give algae no chance.
A post was made recently along the same lines as yours and Tom Barr gives some useful info for a non-CO2 tank.
Oh and the plant in your picy is Limnophila sessiliflora i think
