I feel a bit silly typing this but here goes. I have a lovely bit of redmoor wood in my tank and I have a clown plec who is seldom seen but whenever he is out and about he is stuck to my redmoor. I know they eat wood, but will he obliterate it? I really do feel silly asking that.
Also I find it hard to feed him/her as all of the others are on the grub straight away and I have yet to see him eating an algae wafer or courgette etc.
Thanks guys.

As you say it will eat it yes.

As to whether it will eat it quickly enough for it to be appreciably 'ruined', no.
