Hi
I have successfully cycled a 20 gal tank, i have 3 neon tetras, 7 silver tipped tetras, 3 platty's and 3 cherry barbs. My platty is having fry and i see 4 swimming around and they have beocme quite a size, to big to be eaten now,so i wonder whether i need to invest in a larger tank?? She's still pregnant, and maybe even more will survive!!

Also, i wonder could anyone tell me how deep the gravel should be?? Is there sminimum depth? If i purchase a larger tank, is it right that everything goes into the new tank so no need to cylce, and how do i move the fish with little stress???

Many thanks

You may need a bigger tank if you plan on letting your platies breed all time time. How many ales to female do you have?

Providing you put the filter from the old tank in to the new and do not add more fish until you have a bigger filter (if required) you should be fine. You may have problems keeping you female(s) stress free when moving. When moving my fish, I bag them and float them in the tank and add water from the new tank gradually to the bag, setting them free after about 20 minutes.

There is no minimum gravel amount, I do not think. Some people don't have any.

It dosn't matter what fish you have the answer to this question is always YES :D

I always "NEED" a bigger tank (or is that "WANT" I can never tell)
