I;m not happy with my live rock it consists of 4 big pieces

I want smaller pieces to help me rescape and have thought of taking a hammer and chisel to it

Obviously no guarnatees that I won;t just smash it but if I get decent pieces off it will the rocks filtering capabilities be killed off in any way?

cheers Simon

I think your chances of it surviving are good, it's gotta be broken up some how right.

the fileration will be better mate as theres more surface area that way (like if you cut a a sponge in half it would have more surface area open to the water

thats why live rock rubble is used in fiulters ive done this before too :good:
