Will He Die From Overfeeding?

i added a otto to my tank

its infested with brown algea ...

my question is will he die if he eats too much algea??

he looks really fat ...

as far as i know a fat otto is a happy otto so you should be fine!

I totally agree, oto's thrive in tanks where there is always plenty of algae to eat- they can get surpisingly fat, however they will not over-eat on algae.
Oto's are sociable fish though and do best in groups, so you should really get a couple more .
