One of my Cory's has had a nasty dose of fungus, I think preceeded by finrot from what I've read since.

I've netted him today to take a look at it as he's had it 10 days and whist wriggling in the net I saw the fungus drop off :D , but then I noticed that one of the spines/rays had come off with the fungus  now I feel sooo guilty :( for hurting him.

I understand that the webbing/skin of a fin will grow back, but will this spine/ray regrow?

If so is there anything I can do/add to help?

If not will it affect the rest of the fin in any way?

Yeah, it should. As long as it isn't the base of the fin, we had an african cichlid who's tail got bit off by the base, he was belly up, but still lived happily with us for a few years after he healed. Then we got rid of him :(
