hi have a ten gallon with 3 platys and i was wonding if i could get corys in a smaller tank like mine. if so how many because i know they like do be in groups.

I have two peppered corys in my ten gallon along with 2 platys and a Dwarf gourami. Mine do just fine and love to eat whatever food makes it to the bottom. Including frozen blood worms. They love those! They swim together all the time hardly ever leaving each other sides. I would personally recommend getting some that are the same breed. In my expediencies they tend to school better.

great.. :good: i will get some once i get my next pay check. also im thinking about changing to sand. do corys like sand?

The tank looks nice. I think dont quote me, peppered are about $3-$5US. Thats what they were when I was over there anyway.

Make sure that the rocks are really stable. I don't know if they all do it, but my corys like to move things around. They dig a lot.
If you were around here I would give you some peppers. I have tons of the regular ones! I find more eggs about twice a week now. I have even stopped collecting eggs. These things breed like crazy!

air mail:p hahah and about the rocks i was really worried when i went to sand bc they did move alot more then with gravel.but there together alot closer i put the rocks in then but the sand down this time so i know they wont move if a fish digs with the sand.

i also have another question its about an bubble bar and sand. when i have a bubble bar on will it kick up the sand? if so how can i stop this if there is a way

You have to leave it on top of the sand, or just bury the bottom half. You leave the top uncovered so it won't mess with the sand.
I just left mine on top of the sand.

does anyone ever have problems with sand getting stuck to the filter? When i get my community tank with corys, i would really like to put sand in. Is there a minimum height that the filter intake should be over the sand?. Also, how about when you vacuum the ground?

sorry for all my questions but i just want the best for my cories to be o.0
