Hi.
I have a 60 gallon tank, 24 inches high with six congo tetras. I am not finding consistent information but will an angelfish work with the tetras or will they nip angel fins too much?

Thanks.

its actually the angel that will eat the tetras

I don't think the angel will eat the congo tetras, they get to 2-3 inches... not little guys these tetras. But I've read one place that you can't keep the two together because the congo tetras will nip the fins of the angelfish. But other places say the congo tetra is a fine community fish, peaceful, etc. Anyone have any experience?

i have some congos in my 50g and they are very active! I would definatly have these as the dominant fish in your tank, i personally wouldn't keep these with angels, but thats just me. I have caught one of my Congos eating a young cardinal tetra that i moved from a 60l tank, i thought it was big enough, but it wasn't. They tend to share out the dominance issues between themselves. These fish do make the tank come alive though. If it were me and you were thinking of adding an Angel, i'd probably not do so and up the amount of Congos
