I have a beautiful betta in a 1 gallon bowl that I'd like to transfer to a 1 gallon tank. I've been using the tank to house all my new snail babies... so far I have about five. Just to clarify- I want them; I don't consider my snails' breeding a bad thing :) Anyway... if I put the betta in with them, will he eat them? Or will he just leave them alone. If it makes any difference, I think I have a pretty aggressive betta.

I'm not sure, but just in case why don't you try putting one snail in your bowl and see if the betta eats it?

Good idea! I do know that the last snail he had with him died, but I'm not so sure the snail was in the best of health when I bought him.... from Wal Mart

I find my bettas don't eat snails with a shell however due to my snails being rabbits I occasionally cull the tiny/small snails on the glass and my betta ate them (it takes a while before you betta tries it but it happens) ;)
