I'm away on holiday for 10 days next wednesday...got my next door neighbours in to feed the fish but my problem is I've got two tanks full of fry and I don't think they would make it over my holiday without a water change (well i know they wouldn't) and I can't really ask my neighbour to do that...

anyway one tank are killifish fry i think they should last the week without a water change was going to pop them into the 2ft tank on their own, they are only tiny at the moment so think they should be fine but my cory fry I think will have to go into the main tank. They are about a month old so not tiny but hardly huge!

I've sent my talking catfish back to the LFS (never saw him anyway and I figured if anything would eat them it would be him!)but wondered if anyone could suggest anything else I could do to give them more of a chance of survival!

Would popping them in a breeding net be an option? there are about 20 of them so thought that might just be a bit cruel? although at least they would be able to reach the surface then it will be a shock to their systems I'm sure going from their 6inch deep tank to the full sized tank not sure how they#d cope with that either!

Any suggestions welcome, thanks

Have you thought about meshing a bit of the main tank off for them?? could be worth it. Just need some magnets and mesh then they wont get eaten and hopefully will have enough space.
