Will A 40l Work

I have a 40l tall tank and was goin to sit it up for maybee 3 BN plecs and some neons i guess this is way to much?

Way too much...

we used to run a 2ft (50L ish) with 3 BN's as a greeding tank . It took a lot of work to keep on top of the upkeep - weekly filter cleans and really it needed almost daily water changes as the filter blocked up quickly and became inefficient... not worth it.

Yeah i didnt think so. Maybee 1 plec??? Do you have any noramll BN's i saw some babies on your website. Would they be for sale?
I might still be interested in the starlight bn plec thing you showed me

I've not got any commons for sale at the moment... although it wont be long... I'm growing some up to breed as we speak.

relativley - I've only seen them a couple of times as I believe they are from the same rivers as Zebras - eg the area with the export ban - but dont hold me to that.

I had a lot of trouble finding a male when i lost our last one... it nearly cost me £60 inc P&P to get one shipped from Devon.

I lucked out and found an "unidentified plec" in a local store. just so happened it was a male i'd been looking for for nearly a year

Do you agree that the starlight plecs avarage size is around 4" if so would you be prepared to sell me 2 starlights 1m1f if possible for my 40L.
And a maybe normal brown bn somwhere along the line as a mate for my normal Feamle bn in the chichlids tank.
Do you think if the normal BN's bred then i could put the eggs in with the starlights tank and they would be safe?

Hi,

You do realise that 40 litres is only 8.7988 imperial or 10.570 US gallons. I wouldn't want my baby bristlies going in anything smaller than a 15 gallon tank. Have you thought about otos as they would be more suitable.
