I was showed these video's and found them very interesting on the conditions of how fish live in the wild to how they travel miles to reach we, no wonder they find it hard adjusting to aquariums.

For those interested wanting to know the living conditions fish love.

Well, it is very interesting how fish that we know from the aquarium scene live in free nature. And these vids should be watched by people who only live by the rules that they've found on the internet or books. This gives them a better view on how it actually works.
And yes, people would be amazed how much wild caught fish wind up in fishtanks. It's not all captive breds specimens that we get to see in fishtanks.

EDIT: Just imagine these fishermen/women sell Cardinal Tetras at $3 USD per THOUSAND !!!
As I mentioned in the previous post, the take away (at least for me) was how with perhaps the best of intentions animal activist groups looking to ban wild caught ornamental fish could negatively impact the lives of thousands AND indirectly cause harm to the environment. These fishermen are very conscious about protecting the eco system where they earn their living.

These videos never show the number of fish that die in the process of getting the few to your living room. There are casualties every step of the way. Even though they have been doing this for 50 years it is only now they are setting up a system for best practice, it is a bit of a shame really.
