 my wifes an avid yard sale shopper and has just brought me a ton of large aquariums and equipment along with some really neat decor. how do i go about getting all this white scum off this stuff so i can begin cycling the tanks. i appreciate all who may respond. [email protected]

:fish: A clean stiff toothbrush,a plastic scourer, some lemon juice, plenty of water and lots of determination. :)
The white stuff is probably limescale, neat lemon juice on a scourer(toothbrush for finnicky bits) will help to dissolve this. Afterwards simply rinse well with a hose and there you have it, sparkly clean tanks with no chemical residues hiding :D

...as for the glass...try a razor blade as well, make sure it is sharp and w/o burrs, tp prevent scratching the glass. Good luck!

A scouring pad (Not impregnated with cleaning chemicals) and lots of scrub scrub scrub is all you should need (Lemon juice will help though :D)

im in th uk but i bought some stuff from my lfs for removing limescale and it was brilliant!! just put it on and then wiped it off and the stuff disapeared, the day before i scrubbed the glass for hours and got no where
