It kind of looks like patches of eggs, but I am about 99.9% sure it is not eggs! The mystery stuff is showing up in this tank, My 20 gallon tank I first noticed it under the water on the drift wood that is in the tank. It is in small clumps maybe about the size of the end of your pinky finger. It is a grayish transparent color, and moves and wiggles with the movement of the water. There are little whitish dots in these grey transparet clumps, this is why I describe these clumps as looking like eggs. Is this something to worry about guys? Am I giving enough information for you to I.D. this stuff? Thanks to anyone that can help me out! :( I am a little worried.

Im looking around but not having any luck superman, are you sure you didnt have a fish spawn on you???

I will keep on looking

Thanks Les, I appreciate it. There aren't any fish of the same species in my tank, the only two that are close in any respect would be the ropefish and bichir. some of these spots are behind the drift wood where none of the fish could get too to lay eggd in the first place. They definitely aren't snail eggs, because I have snail eggs and they look nothing like these grayish things. I am pretty confused. Maybe a fish is laying eggs, I guess they could lay eggs without them being fertilized, I have never had a fish lay eggs before so I am clueless. Teach me oh great ones! :p

Haven't a clue, echoing Les's question are you certain that no fish in the tank have spawned? If you are certain then take it out, whatever it is its not meant to be there and may cause the fish harm.

I guess that I can't be certain that a fish hasn't spawned, but it seems a little impossible to place eggs (if these are eggs) in some of the places that these are, because some of the places that these things are found are in crevices only about 3 millimeters wide (where flat part of driftwood meets the glass) I have no clue!

Yes, as it shows on the link to my 20 gallon tank I have snails (blue snails) that have layed eggs and these are nothing like my snail eggs, so I guess that rules snail eggs out.
