Well vote on the poll what you think and any additional writing will be much appreciated!

i think he wants a nice warm girlfriend dont get him one though untill you know exactly what your doing

They love wrapping themselves round stuff, plants rocks wood. I think it is just like people curling up to get comfy

I've never seen one do it, but it sounds like breeding behaviour. Could just be that he likes the warmth, though. Bettas are very smart and are great at finding comfortable (but sometimes quite odd) places in the tank to hang out in.

all 3 of mine sleep in a 'U' shape in little hidie holes and the one loves to cuddle the glass side of the thermometer

mine used to swin up to the filter and let the current sweeep it all the way down to the heater. it also used to let the filter suck it so it didnt have to swim and could be lazy. mine also used to enjoy hiding under wood and a few other places with the company of my loaches :) sounds normal to me

The thermomiter not heater

Doesn't matter, he probably just enjoys being able to wedge himself against something and curl up. Bettas are famous for being lazy bones who will use anything in the tank to prop themselves up. Mine uses rocks, leaves, driftwood and sometimes his betta hammock. Basically anything in his tank is a bed for him.
