in my bettas tank, a 3.5 gallon, there are these wormy things growing in my tank, they are swimming around and everything, i took my betta out because i wasn't sure what it was

they are like microworms but are huge compared to the size of your regular one

any ideas?

i'm doing a water change etc to tryand get rid of them lol

thanks

paul

put ur betta in another tank

strip down the old one, boiling water and scrub

sometimes u can get these fellas from feeding to much protien, not sure what they are called tho

Yep sounds like it. I don't think they are harmful to the fish.....in fact we had lots of them in the tank with our first spawn. It's just very creepy seeing them in your tank

yeah i had no idea what it was

so just to be on the safe side i just moved him outta there lol

so what other foods is there which i can give my betta with less protein?

i'm feeding him bloodworms once a week and feeding him tetraprima mini granules and flake

thanks

paul

Betta one are very small granules too and have lower protein :good: Also Hikari Betta Gold not sure what the protein level is but think it would be substantially lower.

Can't blame you for moving him out......I can't bear seeing things in my tank unless it's a Betta

if i see anything else in my tank exept my betta i wash it out lol

i'm just worried that it might harm him if i don't do anything lol

i just care

thanks for ure help netty and pheonix
