Why Was My Topic Deleted?

I just posted a genuine friendly topic hoping to meet some similar aged people to myself in the local area, to make some friends, as I'm trying to improve my social circles having just taken a break up very badly, and thanks to some dimwitted sarcastic fool, you've deleted it? Of course I'm going to respond angrily to it, he was coming out with a load of sarcastic rubbish. No explanation or nothing.

I'm sure calling a member of this board a "dimwitted sarcastic fool" doesn't help. The comment was meant in a fun way. We joke on here. That's half the fun of it. I'm sorry you took it the wrong way but insulting people isn't the way to go about it. If you're offended by something that has been said, say so. That's the only way it can be resolved without tension later down the line.

Carp4u..... I know, and I appreciate that your post was sincere and that it was a legitimate request for genuine friendship with no alternative motives and I also know that if anyone responded to your post with the same honesty and intent as you envisage...... that they will have a very dear friend in you,...... but.... unfortunately, (and you will agree),..... that the innitial reactions was an indication that the thread has potential to stimulate unwanted responses, which would ultimately have a negative impact on your (already) fragile state of mind...... I think it is in your best interest that your thread was removed and I am also going to lock this thread with a request to our members who wish to get to know you better (as a friend) to contact you via the pm system...... in that way, we know whoever contacts you will also be truthfull and serious to meet you.
