Hi Guys

I need a little help. I have a black moor which seems to be losing weight. I have had it (not sure it male or female)from it was small and it has now grown to about 4.5 inches. I have recently noticed that it floats at the top of the tank. it eating ok, but it's behaviour to me seems different. My water stats are all ok.

Any suggestions?

Thanking in advance.

How big is the tank? Have you made any changes to the tank recently?
You said your water is fine, could you post the readings for us

The tank is 165L = 44Gallons
Ammonia = 0. ppm
Nirite = 0. ppm
Nitrate = 40
PH = 7.6

As for recent changes, I am cycling a bigger tank (240L) and used some of the filter media. Aprt from that there are no other changes.

Maybe she/he is just thinking about life.

Seriously though, you might also try goldfish subforums and the members over in the emergency section.

Thanks WD. I'll try the other forum you suggested.
