Why did my old Pleco disapear?

what else is in the tank??? remove your decor and look for a skeleton or check behing the ttank/stand to see if he is dried up on the floor (I lost 2 male swordtails this way)

If you read up on Plec's then it all comes clear!!!!

Nocturnal!!!!!!!!!! ;)

He could just be hiding somewhere in the aquarium. I now when I first got my pleco he was pretty small and it took me forever to find him. Especially if you have some driftwood in your aquarium. My would be on that and he would belnd right in. I would look right past him many times before I noticed him

How big is he and in what size tank is he? Plecs are nocturnal and will often hide away during the day. Put some food in for him and see if it gets eaten.

 plecos love to scare their owners by hiding.I pick up all the furniture in their tanks and vaccum the poo out and check to see if everyone is ok.Plecos also c an jump out of the tank, they`re famous for that.Os the tank covered all the time? Do you have openings in the back of the cover large enough for him to get out?

I had the same problem once! And also with a snail. :/ And I never found either one. No snail shell, No carcass, No bones, Not under decorations, Not in filter, Not in the floor, or on the wall....... Weird! I agree though, he's probably hiding somewhere. Or, maybe he's magic
