Hey! My Emerald catfishs color is turning from green to dark gray. I have been switching from gravel to sand. the reason I am doing it with both in the tank is my catfish wouldn't touch the sand until I put some gravel back in. So my buddy and I were changing the water like normal and he took out alot of gravel. we assumed would be fine but then they turned from green to gray. we put most of it back inbut they are not turning green again. Is there anything I can do. Here are my water parameters.

ph: 6.8

nitrite: 0

ammonia: 0

gh:180+
kh:120
nitrate:20-40

I'm guessing it might just be stress related. I'd keep an eye on it. It might just go back to normal once it has settled in again. :dunno:

How long do you have your lights on for? I would keep them off for a few days, wont do any harm and it can make you fish feel safer.

Lucky you, one of my cories went dark grey and died =[
