Who's king of the tank?

Having watched the power struggle amongst the 4 species in my tank, I have formed the following conclusions:

1) The neons are subdued by the black widows, but swim happily with white clouds and will pinch algae wafers from the cories.

2) The black widows think they should be chasing everything but soon back off when a cory turns and faces them if they get in the way.

3) The white clouds will go anywhere and swim with anything, but do back down when chased by a black widow.

4) The cories go exactly where they want, show no intimidation to other tank mates, in fact generally ignore them and therefore are Kings of the tank.

Well this is how it goes down in my 55.
Right now I have:

2 X Bolivian Rams
3 X Pearl Danios
2 X Bosemani Rainbow
2 X Male Red Dwarf Gouramis
2 X Melanistius Corydoras
1 X Brevirostris Corydoras
2 X Bronze Corydoras(aenus)
2 X Albino Corydoras(aenus)
1 X Albino Common Plecostomus

The Corys are the "mafia" of the bottom, they travel in groups and occasionally get all together and swim across the entire tank, They control the bottom.

the Pearls are the Upper "mafia" They swim around and act as to nip anyone who tries to mess with them. Also with the Rainbows.

The Rams and Gouramis keep to them selfs and are like the policemen of the tank. They patrol all levels and "attack" anyone who comes near them or messes with them.

The Plec is like the citizen of the tank, doing all the work and if he gets attacked he either attacks them back or swims by the Rams or Gouramis for them to defeat the others.

As you can see, I spend way too much time in front of my tank!

I am convinced the fry are like human fry. They constantly badger the adults and mever stop to take a breath!!!

The dwarf gourami gets a bit irritated because my male platy keeps follwing him around. Other than that, the only aggression is amongst the black widows and danios.

No "king" or "oligarchy"--all the fish can go everywhere in peace.

My oddball tank is weird in the whole hierarchy kind of thing My bichirs, pictus catfish, and ropefish don't do anything, the African butterfly fish bites fish that come near him, my rainbow cichlid and surinam geo constantly fight, the blue gouramis chases those two, and Sunny my severum breaks up all of the fights. My purple spotted gudgeon is just a failure at being aggressive

my corys are definetly king of the tank my daios no better than to nip but but considerying my new revision of fish my upside down catfish are kings they run around like crazy when food is put in and just eat like made not to mention the bumping and niping of each other i dont think the corys apriciate the acidental nips i swear when ever i look at the upside down catfish like there cool my corys give me the middel fin but my corys are my first and favorite

My gold angelfish rules my 46 gallon tank. He's always the first one to the surface to eat and loves attention.

Ellen is the alpha in my female betta tank (being the biggest and grumpiest,) and my oscar rules the other tank. He's a very gentle oscar, though.... not aggressive, just grumpy

My pictus eats everyone that will fit in his mouth. He chases the molly, who used to chase the platy till I took her out and put her in with the guppies. The firemouth used to be in with the guppies, but he started trying to eat the cories eyes, so I took them out, but then I had to take him out and put him in a breeding net in the thirty so I can actually get him to eat, because the guppies were always beating him to the food. So now I have to move the cories back. Gah, evil fish social ladder.....

Right now, it's the largest (by far) of my psuedotropheus acei. He's clearly a smart fish and it far more effecting at eating than the others, to the point that he's passed all of the "mosobo" in size. Even though everyone is still a juvenile, it's clear he will be the dominant male acei. I image that eventually the mosobo will catch up again and take over, but for now, he's the biggest, fastest, and smartest fish in the tank.

And really irridescent purple too.

well in my three foot tank the murdering sucking loach is king even my extremely large angelfish and the fat sleeper goby are scared of him! they are always on the opposite side of the tank to him!
While in my large 4 ft tank which is very peaceful i would say my keyholes are king and queen while the ruby shark is the police man. But at night its a different story with my two zamora woodcats ruling the whole tank.

In my 55 gallon community, I have a big female red wag platy that is definately "Queen" of the tank. She makes sure she gets her fair (and several other's) share of the food. I keep thinking my male "cotton candy" platy has impregnated her but no, she's just had another snack.

In my tiger barb tank it's total chaos.

In my Mbuna tank, the surprising boss is my Sailfin Plec, if he's in a mood or eating, the Cichlids keep well clear, even my monster Orange blotch Zebra.
