If you got a Elephant Nose i was wondering what yours eats cause i dont seehim eating i know they usualy eat at night but i dont see him eat at night either unless he is eating realy late at night.

Mine eats whenever I add bloodworms to the tank. But I think the puffer ( Figure 8 right) might be the wrong fish for your tank. Might just scare him to hide all the time.

he mainly runs and hide from everyone i dont know why but he hides from everyone in the tank.

hello- a few years back i had an elephant nose. Mine was always shy and hiding also. My solution was to get him a friend. and it worked great. I am not positive you have enough room to do this or not, but thought i would suggest anyways.

Remove the figure eight as soon as possible (I think you are but just to make sure) and then buy a dimmier or dim light for the room, a red light is usually good, and put the lights on dim and then enjoy watching him eat bloodworm. You could also buy another nocturnal species that is quite active to tempt him out, any suggestions on this? Maybe a type of Dwarf Catfish or Synodontis (Upsidedown Catfish), maybe a Spiny Eel or another fish that is semi nocturnal and will eat in dim light or daylight to tempt him out like danios or a Ruby Shark or a Red Torpedo or even Livebearers like Swordtails and then he will eat the fry as well.

Its been coming out more now cause i only had him for like 3 days he must of been scared or what not.
