i wondering if i can run a a/c 70 only with a 46g bowfront.. i seen people running A/C 50 with them.

For an average stocked tank it should work fine. I used to run the 50's on overstocked 29 gallon tanks with no problem. A 50 on a 46 gallon is a little too underpowered.
