i don't know about fry numbers per birth but my male guppy is always trying to get some from the females. My female swordtail on the other hand decided that she wanted a sex change so her (his?) number of fry is gonna be a big ZERO.

Well guppies don't produce as much fry in one go as other species but yes theya re little rabbits

It's gatta be mollies they can have 20-30 fry average.

GUPPIES - they may not have as many in one go - but- they have em more often - then their babies have babies - then their babies babies have...............

yea i will go for guppies... like 4 weeks a drop.. that's too quick cuz her last drop don't develop colors yet! also about 20 fry per drop and with less mortality... ( if the water is good) that will get you some decent amount of guppies in 6 months.... like i when i first got my tank with 2 pregneted guppies but after 6 weeks i have like 40 fry in my tank.......

guppy's more than platy's at least but none of the above are prolific enough to make feeder tank produce fast enough.

I am sure that between the fabulous four(platies,guppies,mollies and swords)Mollies and gups are the more prolific.I can only say for what I've seen in my tank and my fish experience.I do believe that mollies take a bit longer in between and that gups drop every four weeks or so.Somebody had argued that mollies have larger amounts of babies but I hate to differ.I had this female half black blue guppy that would have at least 50 babies every time.Now my sailfin female molly would have babies not as often and about 20-30 babies each time.So you see.....I think the gups are the clear winner this time.
I would also would like to add that I think there's no other species of fresh water fish that mate so often as a male gup.The stamina they have.Who needs Viagra when you have the sex drive of a male gup.

at first i would say mollies cause of the belly size. but now that i've seen one of my guppies, which is very hugh can give up to 60 fry a drop. mine just gave 60 today alone.
