With everything that has gone on, I think we need a new "meet the mods" style page where introductions can be made?

I for one don't know anything about the new team and without meaning to sound disrespectful don't even recognise some of the names included,
previously if a member had an issue they usually had a good inkling of which mod to approach based on the question they needed answering, plus mods were linked to areas of the forum which also made things easier, Now Ludwig has seemingly stepped down?? its upto you guys to speak up and carry on the great work he has put in place.

so.. don't be shy who are ya and what are you into?

A fair point. I assure you I'm not shy, just trying to find my way and trying to work out what strengths and weaknesses we all have before we start thinking about areas.

Meet the mods needs tidying up, I agree.

For me, if it helps temporarily I'm into SA cichlids, DIY and planted tanks. Although I'm toying with a marine nano idea once I've stopped messing with my display. I'll be starting up a journal soon.

Every time I login to these forums (and that hardly ever any more) I see a name I haven't seen before with a mod badge .

How was the new mods chosen DrRob?

Well you cant be logging in that often then SchottayB!

You could always try reading the introduction posts... however...

There was a long thread where people nominated members they thoughts would make good mods (think was about 30 names) then the active mods available had their own discussion and looked into the said members and wittled the group down to 6.

Six of us have been made mods a little while back and are all getting to grips with the tools we need to use.

The new mods chosen were DrRob, Ps3Steveo, Wilder, Fluttermoth, Donya and Myself.

There is also a new member of staff going by the name of tcamos, he was brought in as Admin and is often active on the forums (and you'll be glad to know has plenty of fishy experience and his own tanks!). He has been nothing but an asset to the forum so far and I hope he likes TFF too because I love this forum and feel proud of it! Well... most of the time anyway!

A lot of the changes you are seeing are the previous Mods, some of which have left TFF altogether, others still pop in time to time and some of them are still working with the new Mods and are a great help and asset to the running of the forum because they are the ones with the knowledge and experience. If they want to mention who they are, thats up to them.

Answer your questions? :)

Well thats a shame because its nice to know people appreciate this forum enough to log in and chat and help people out.

There have been a lot of changes and yes, we are having to build from where we are... but onwards and upwards. Its only a really bad event if you can only view it in a negative perspective.

Now we all have a chance to move on, make changes for the better, make improvements. The board has had some big updates and we have a brand new chat feature which is already seeing a whole lot more traffic than the old one.

If you have any particular issues or suggestions, we are certainly happy to hear them!
