Whitespot Treatment.

If im recalling rightly, you cant treat whitespot while your apple snail is in the tank, so im wondering if apple snails will live in a cold water tank at all? If put in a room thats kept warm.

I would buy a heater for my other tank, but im really stapped for cash at the moment. (off work due to prolonged illness)

Is there anything i can do?

I would think it would be ok to get something similar to an ice cream tub, add aquarium water and some foliage from your tank, place the snail in it and float it in your tank whilst treating the whitespot. Change a small amount of water daily with de-chlorinated water to minimise build up of nasties
