A short while ago while feeding my fish, I noticed what appears to be a whitish/greenish coloured "spot" on my large pleco's nose area. I'm pretty sure it is new, but I don't often get to take a good look at him as he is usually hiding (except at feeding time or when the aquarium lights are off).
I haven't owned him long, just a few months or so, but I've grown very attached to him already and I would absolutely hate to lose him.

Am I just overreacting? As far as I can tell, the spot shouldn't be there... but I'm fairly new to owning plecos so I would appreciate any help or ideas anyone may have for me.
