White things hanging from glass

I got the magnifying glass out to inspect my fishes injury. But i noticed there are clumps of little white things hanging from the glass. They are fry shaped, (but not fry), granular in appearance and hanging by the "tail". Anyone any ideas what they are? Some sort of algae perhaps?

Although I've checked the link jflowers posted me and it says danio fry attach to the glass. I really doubt thats what they are though.

I had those too a while ago
Not sure what they are but they aren't dangerous, just unsightly

I scraped them off and cut down the feeding. I have a lot less algea and these white things are now gone.

They must feed off extra food bits or algea...
