White Stuff On My Blue Hippo Tang

First my blue hippo tang was scratching severly constantly so I treated the tank with "QuICK Cure" which is malachite green & formalin. After couple days of treatment, I did couple of 30% water changes. He's not scratching anymore but I see some white cotton like stuff near his tail. He's eating well and behaving normal nonetheless. What else can I do? Also is there any medication that is safe for live rocks?

Do you know what the medication was treating it for? if not look up ich or white spot (same thing by all accounts) and see if ths looks the same as your tang has.
