I am thankful that I don't have to pay every time I have a dumb question to ask. Thank you to the owners/moderators of this list and of course to those who share their knowledge. :)

Good news: my tank water is zero for everything. yay :)

HOWEVER, (there always has to be one it seems)...... I have been keeping close eye on my fish for disease, esp. ick, since I had it and not sure if I medicated long enough. Plus, my water conditions haven't been great. So with that said, I noted that my guppies and my dalmatian molly had been "attaching" themselves or "picking" underneath one of my balloon mollies. I couldn't see anything wrong with the balloon molly and it's acting healthy and fine, but last night I noticed that the balloon molly had a thin squiggly white "something" coming out it and I'm pretty sure it's not fishie poop. This morning my swordtail has the same thing hanging out; my large danio's anal area is all swollen, red, and looks like he's about to explode right there. He's very stressed and staying at the top of the water and I'm sure he's not going to make it.

Now what do I have in my tank? Sigh......

Is there a good website that is good/easy for looking up fish diseases that anyone can recommend? It's hard to do searches here for similar topics, since some post questions like me "white squiggly things" ha ha.... I hate making people repeat themselves.

Help! Thanks!! :)

Try this link My Webpage i found it quite helpful for a number of diseases. Sounds like your fish is suffering from a worm infection. Did you say they were pooping out white stringy faces? Have u changed their diet lately?

Thanks. That website said its under construction :(

Yeah, they are "pooping" out white stingy (kinda curly like) feces.
Nope, no change in diet really. Just tropical flake food and at least once or twice a week, I add some freeze dried shrimp.

If it's worms, how do I go about treating that?

Maybe it's not worms and I'm just being paranoid.... something is def. killing the giant danio though. The others seem fine (for now.. knock on wood).

Could possibley be intestial worms you can add STERAZIN to the water, this treatment is done on days 1,3,6,8 and 10 STERAZIN is produced by Waterlife and most shops will stock it. STERAZIN treats ROUND WORM, THREAD WORM, and INTESTINAL WORMS

Have a chat to your local fish dealer to see what he suggests.

Thank you big fish.

I'll keep an eye on my fish, check out what my options are (and the website you sent), and go from there. Unfortunately, my LFS is Petco and well...... no offense to anyone, they don't tend to know any more than I do (which is very little!).

I hope it all goes well.

THANKS AGAIN!
