hi i have 2 pakistan loach (pakistan botia lohachata),but they both have white spots, they are tropical fish but i looked at the protozin and the maracide medication but they both just seem to be for fresh water fish.

I was wondering if someone could help me find medication for them as i am new to looking after tropical fish.

It has got to the stage where they are rubbing themself up on the rocks and will not swim around anymore and it seems that they have gone off there food aswell.

would the medication mentioned above be ok to put in to the tank? but i also have neon tetra, a gupy and harlequins

Please help!!!!!!

I used King British White Spot Control wich worked quite well. You've not stated where you live though so I dont know if this product will be available there.

The key to treating White Spot is patience, you have to continue treating evenafter the White Spots have gone.

Freshwater fish are - tropical fish, coldwater fish, basically any fish without added sediments IE Salt, to make the water brackish/marine.....

If the medication states for freshwater use, then it will be fine in tropicl IMO....

Good luck and i hope your fish make a speedy recovery
