White Spots On The Goldfishes Gills

hi,


for the past few weeks i have noticed a couple of my goldfish have had white spots on their gills, i did read somwhere tht this means they are about to lay eggs is this true ??????if it is what am i suposed to do with the fish???? do i put it in a breeding net or what thanks for the help

If they are on the gills only then the fish is a male.
 
this means youve got a male goldfish and its ready to breed.
the females tend to be more fatter and dont get the spots.
if you have both male and female and they are about 2 years-5 years
i recomend if you already havent to provide pleanty of vegetatin including live plants aswell
before you know it you could have babys in a few months.
(you need the plants for the goldfish because thats were they swim when there sexing
and also they lay there eggs there.
the spots on its gills,are they pin prick size.
if they are its ready to breed
