Hi how do I treat white spot on my tetras

Do I need to remove them from the tank while treating?

The fish should stay in the tank as all the fish in the tank will be affected.

The best treatment for whitespot is heat. Do a large water change and vacuum the bottom of the tank to remove as many parasites as possible. Refil with water warmer than usual and turn the heater up to get the temperature - as measured by a thermometer - to 30 deg C. Leave the temperature at that level for 2 weeks, or one week after the spots have vanished, then turn the heater back down and let the temperature drop slowly.
