I recently noticed a white spot on my bettas eye,it’s just one eye though his other one is alright thankfully. There’s also a small white dot on his tail. I’ve had him for a few months now and he’s been pretty healthy. He’s still active and moves around his tank a lot,I’ll change the water today but I’d really appreciate some advice on what else I should do!!!

Yes, it could be ick on the tail, but on the eye it looks like the beginning of cloudy eye. It starts from a little white spots and in sever cases may cause cause fish to go blind and develop cataracts. What are the water parameters, what are you feeding him, and where did you get him (from a breeder or pet store)?

I haven’t tested my water yet but I’ll do it tomorrow and post them here,I feed him live blood worms along with fish pellets twice a day ,and I got him from a fish store

IIt could be ich or white spot I like to treat it with the link below. Just do some water changes and see if more white spots appear.

I live in Pakistan,so i don’t know if I’ll be able to find this here are there any alternatives I could use?

Welcome to TFF

DO NOT medicate fish if you are not certain what is wrong with them.

We need to know your water params. Get one of these test kits linked below ASAP, test for ammonia, nitrItes, and nitrAtes, and post the results here.

You can treat white spot with heat. Assuming it is white spot, you simply raise the water temperature to 30C and keep it there for at least 1 week after all the white dots have gone. No medications needed, just warm water.
increase aeration/ surface turbulence when increasing water temperature because warm water holds less oxygen than cool water.

Do some water changes, raise the temperature and see what happens, as suggested by Fish384.

I looked for some test kits here but haven't been able to really find any(imported kits here are extremely hard to find and expensive at the moment) I can go get some more ph paper tomorrow and then ill post them here

Okay ill try that thank you!!

With just one spot, and on the eye it unlikely to be whitespot aka ich. It could be something as simple as a scratch, or a cataract, or an infection. Lots of clean water is the first thing to try.

Okay got it and assuming it’s a cataract how do I fix that?

I just checked and the ph of my water is at 7 so I don’t think that’s the problem

pH is not very important, it's ammonia, nitrite and nitrate you need to know.

Ammonia and nitrite need to be zero, any level more than zero is harmful to fish. Very low levels may not kill fish but it will cause stress, and stressed fish get sick more easily.
Nitrate should be under 20 ppm, and the lower the better. High nitrate isn't an immediate killer like high ammonia and nitrite, but again high levels stress fish.

You don't fix cataracts. You leave the fish alone and it ends up blind in that eye but can usually function with the other eye. If it develops cataracts in both eyes, it goes blind in both eyes and you have to put food near its mouth when feeding it.
