I have had my black moor for over year. It is now the only fish I have. I have continued to have white spots - not ich - on it. I have treated with Marcyn plus and medicated pellets and it would disappear to just return within a month or 2. I have it in a 29 gallon tank. Adequate filtration - more than adequate. I was changing water 1 to 2 times a month but one forum site member said do so weekly which I now have been doing this last month. Just this week the white patches on tail and now on body came back with a vengence. I put in some stess zyme just in case there was any water problem. Then added Marcyn plus a few days later just one day dose. It suggests 3 times over 6 days. Yesterday it was head down and jerky and I decided to go for a fluke med. My tank is it work and I don't as yet know how it is but when I left last night I wasn't feeling positive about its prognosis. It had never been like this. I feed excellent food and do all the right things and this is the 3rd fancy goldfish I've lost - if it doesn't make it. I want so much to be successful in raising fancy goldfish but have had so much trouble with getting the right info for my problems. In most cases I don't get any response for days and by then it's too late. Any help appreciated.

could be velvet disease or slime disease - velvet is little spots like ich but smaller and and slime disease is patches of slime / excess mucus from the fish. i have lost 4 fancy goldfish in less than a year so from my experiance they aren't very healthy at the best of times. good luck :fish:
