White growth on back of Otocinclus

Noticed today one of my otos has a new weird growth on its back and maybe on the bottom of its back fin. Does anyone know what this could be? None of my other fish have this.

I guess it got wounded and that the wounds have fungus. It's back is red suggesting there is also a bacterial infection there.

I quarantined it and added melafix to the tank so hopefully that helps.

melafix only works sometimes for me...
not sure if otos are also salt sensitive catfish. but salt would work most of the teim
