ive noticed over the past week that there seems to be some white fluffy stuff growing on my plants, does anyone know what it is?

I had some what I am guessing to be hair algae in my tank last week. About 1-inch in length and gray-white in color. Stuck on a leaf of a plant(fake). I just removed the plant and scraped it off.

If its white its generally not Algae, it sounds more like Fugus. I had a simialar white stuff on my wood, which i then binned!

IME, hair algae starts out looking like a white fuzz. Only later when it grows longer does in start to look green. I've also have a white fungus growing on wood but never on plants. It seems to come and go but is easy to remove and is harmless AFAIK.

I get the stuff growing every now and then but my dwarf plecos eat it up.
