Hi there,

Can someone tell me please does my white filter pad "have" to be the top one ?

Would it matter if i added it below my black one ?

Reason being my white filter pad is getting very black rather quickly and making the water pump out water "very slow" unless i push on the pads..... Im having to change it like every 2-3 days which seems wrong :/ wondering if it will help if i had it lower down ?

I take it you have a Juwel tank of some kind.
yes the white pad needs to be on the top, this is the final filter
that takes out all the ultra fine particles from your water,
polishes the water if you like.

what tank do you have and what is stocked in it?

Yep its a Jewel, have the usuals really.... Pleco, guppys, gaurami, angels etc

what juwel is it rio180, lido60, trigon350 etc?

what pleco? some grow massive.
how many of the other fish?

Hi, the white polypad has to be on top because it stops the larger particles getting into the sponges. I have a heavy load on my filter (soon to be resolved) so I change the white polypad every 3 - 4 days. You can see the water move more straight away. Hope that helps. :) Probably your Pleco is causing most of the waste as they are heavy waste producers! I have a Common so I know.
