Am I right in assuming that White Cloud Mountain Minnows can be placed in planted aquaria? What about temperatures? Is 80-82F to high for these fish?
Does anybody know an internet fish vendor who sales the long finned version of these? I imagine that these little guess don't travel to well tho.

WCMM's can take temparatures ranging from 55-75 degrees, so your suggested temp is way too high

As for buying some LF on line try searching for meteor minnows as the LF are often called this in the states

ive got 5 white cloud minnows in my tank got silk plants
and my temps on 79 and they are doing fine

I kept white clouds in a coldwater tank in a warmish room, and they got on great.

There were plenty of plants in there with them. Only thing you need to watch is the max temp for the white clouds versus min temp for the plants!!
They need loads of oxygen in the water though, so you maybe need to watch that, particularly at higher temperatures.

I wouldn't keep them in that high a temperature, they really are a coldwater fish but because of their hardiness they can tolerate the higher temperatures to an extent.
